Good company Bad company!
Nissan is honestly one of the most reputable companies I have ever had to deal with, they were helpful, skilled, and very nice to speak to, especially when purchasing a vehicle. However what I'm interested to know is this: is Nissan really a great company? Or are they a bad company? I mean this from an ecological point of view, do they help the environment? Or help destroy it? From the research I have done on Nissan, they are honestly one of the cleanest companies I have ever seen upon the face of the earth! Nissan has nothing but good articles and reviews, nothing bad ever written about them except a few bad car reviews. I can say with total confidence that Nissan is nothing but a good company for the environment, they have all types of green campaigns and electric vehicles. Nissan is without a doubt, my number one greenest and most honest car company I have ever seen.

How does the food I eat affect the environment?
we recently have been asked a question in class; how does the food i eat affect the environment? well, personally i believe that the food i eat cant really affect the environment, however, considering i need to be graded on my answer lol, ill hypothetically give a good response. so here goes nothing; the food i eat can affect the environment by the waste that it produces. i eat lots of articles of food that are wrapped in plastics, all this plastic is not always recycled but instead thrown into land fills. the reason for this is because people can be lazy and in my house, alot of the time i forget to throw out my plastics and instead put em right into the garbage. i feel like this is the normal behaviour for the better majority of my community. if just a few people could start to make a change im sure we could all eventually pitch in and help reduce and reuse our plastics and recyclables. this is more or less the main reason i believe my food can and would affect the environment in anyway.

My youtube viral video on food!
So just recently we were assigned a very unique assignment in class, we were to make a viral video that helped make food waste a household no-no, so-to-speak. Anyways my video will be going up next Wednesday on youtube, it hasnt been named as of yet but im hoping that it will get atleast 1,000 views. so to continue on, my video is basically a cooking commercial gone horribly wrong in which the scene is funny and informative. the scene consists of 2 people, one of which is trying to conduct a cooking commercial while the other isnt trying to do anything at all, the result is a lazy chef who throws out whatever he doesnt use, which is like for instance: half an apple, the banana which is half eaten and tons more hilarious stuff. the director is getting annoyed so he tries to stop the lazy chef from throwing away everything. in all their confusion, the tape gets sent of to the company who airs it on television, the one good thing coming out of this catastrophe was that the director kept yelling at the chef about what he could do to make his food last longer, as well as help him understand that wasting food is wrong and that he should think about maybe helping more people aware of the vast amount of food wasted each year.

my local food market
so a couple days ago i visited my local food market...oh wait, it was in the summer. ok anyways ,my local supermarket is called Jean Talon market and their specialty for me is their tomatoes. i found out about them while i was surfing the web one day. i have eaten their before and do plan to again. their food is indeed quite good. i believe that local food is somewhat more important and should be kept in stores and around the area in which they are grown because they can be an important part of the local culture. i believe that there is indeed a strong local food culture here in montreal because when you think about it, there happens to be quite a few local produce markets in montreal. in the end, the culture of local food is important and should always be kept in the culture of montreal.

some fruits and vegetables and how much CO2 is produced because of transportation
5 fruits and/or vegetables I eat
Royal Gala apples from USA or California. The amount of CO2 released into the air is 4.3
kg.
Lemons from USA or California. The amount of CO2 released
into the air is 4.3 kg.
Watermelons from Mexico. The amount of CO2 released into the
air is 3.9 kg.
Cucumber from Canada. The amount of CO2 released into the
air is 2.8 kg.
Romaine lettuce from USA or California. The amount of CO2
released into the air is 4.3 kg.
im not sure however if there is an alternative to this, i feel as if it isnt possible to avoid these emissions unless we dont buy as much as we used to buy therefore reducing the emissions.

Who killed the electric car?
we recently watched a movie in our environmental awareness class called who killed the electric car? and throughout the movie we see the history of it, when it started, who the culprits are and how it happened. finally we are all comfortable with who the culprits were in the end. in a way this movie was like a mystery movie, it had all those moments where you were sitting there thinking, hmm maybe because of this clue they did it or something like that. anyway the story is about an amazing little car built by general motors in 1996, it was called the EV1, it was an all electric car that was absolutely amazing, even though it had limited range, it was possible to just go on a trip and recharge the battery anywhere in California pretty much because gm had put up electric fueling stations everywhere. the problem that ended up killing the electric car was the people who started it, gm, they were manipulated by the oil companies to kill that thing before it stole their sales in all the oil they distributed. in the end it turned out that gm took all the EV1s except one away from everyone and crushed them. till today there is only one EV1 left in the world. it doesn't run and is sitting in a warehouse in an auto museum. leave some comments on what you guys think of the electric car, i would love to know what you think.

why do we need plastic anyways?
hey guys, today i want to talk to you firstly about why people think that we need plastic and then im going to contradict my first statement and explain to you why we need it, but not in such vast amounts. OK so, plastic, its all around us, in everything we use. plastic companies have become part of our everyday lives so often now that we forget about the damage they bring our world. we have very few items that are not made out of plastic, like for instance did you know that inside your soup can there is a thin layer of plastic to keep the contents inside the container longer? or that when the can is thrown out, it isn't recycled for the sole reason that the recycling companies want the plastic to be separated from the metal first? its insane! i say we shouldn't live for this. maybe people would understand if a landfill opened up next to their house.there is plastic literally everywhere we look. even in this laptop i am currently typing on. but then we have to consider what life would be like without any plastic. we need plastic to survive but only to a certain content, we don't for instance need to waste the vast amounts of plastics that we have that are just there for self comfort or other such amenities like the inside of our cars. i think its OK if they used fibers or materials to make the inside of our cars with. that's what i think plastic shouldn't be used for but hey, maybe im wrong. leave a comment so i can see what you guys think.
